Talk of the Town
I was just informed, day before yesterday, that we are now the “Talk of the Town” in Bumpus Mills.
It appears that folks know of us when we walk into a place, before we have a chance to ever see them for the first time.
Not too sure on how to navigate this concept. I am the kind of person who lives an “Isolated” kind of lifestyle off the internet. I cannot go shopping in places like Walmart during Christmas because of “too many people in a confined space, with constant noise and movement” in every direction.
“Introvert” is an exceptional descriptive of me…
Currently, I am in “shock and awe” mode because our home is actually being built, after 42 years of waiting patiently, being told, repeatedly for 42 years, “It will be another 2 years before we build” and it never happens.
My reason for this “disbelief” at the moment is because I have had more address changes in my lifetime, than I have had birthdays.
Only one relocation was by my choice and that was to our farm at Bethpage, that never got built or developed for one reason or another and is now on the market to be sold.
Case and point for my thinking at the moment, I was in 13 different schools before I graduated high school and we were never in the military, with all these address changes… hence the reason I developed into a “literal introvert to the core” away from the internet.
So, this is the latest progress update on the new location build and I will be “excited and let my hopes run loose” once we are moved in and I have bolted every piece of furniture and my equipment to the floor. It will take an earthquake and a volcano to get me to ever leave once this is all said and done…
I have been waiting 42 years for this and I still cannot believe it is actually happening…
