Morning “Thaw”

We just went through a few days of extreme cold, 4 degrees for the lowest, while staying in the teens for the highs.

The water on the pond/lake in front of the studio was frozen on the surface for about a week and this morning, it was a “Grand Slam Breakfast” for some new Ducks and the Eagles that are here.

As for these ducks, they are some new visitors with Mohawks and War Paint, as I describe them.

From what I could count, there are 9 of these odd, yet beautiful lil’ birds.

They are also pretty fiesty from what I saw while shooting this morning with vertigo flaring, so I have yet to make it out to my office to edit photos.

This is just a preview of shots this morning, as we are now getting a heat wave of 42 degrees with near 60 degrees on the way… After being at 4 degrees and in the teens for a week or so, 40-60 degrees feels like “Shorts and Tank Top” days… LOL! With Flip Flops… LOL!

These are just some previews from the back of my camera this morning. I will post finished and edited images when I get back out to my desk on my big computer after I rest this vertigo flare up...
